DNA repair

June 5, 2020 | Duration: 51 mins.

Some key components and processes to DNA replication and repair are still relatively unclear. DnaX is an enzyme found in prokaryotes, but little is known about its function in DNA damage response. Reducing the copy numbers or locus size in rDNA replication can significantly alter replication time. The formation of head-to-tail concatermers in HSV replication is further explored by the role of the binding protein. In this virtual event, researchers present their findings on the roles of different proteins and enzymes in DNA repair.

The talks in this virtual event were originally programmed to take place as an in-person Spotlight Session at the 2020 ASBMB Annual Meeting.
